OUR EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

We are experts in residential renovation, ground up new construction projects and large scale interior decoration. We have also completed various scales of commercial projects; designing custom interiors that capture a high sense of style and function.

OUR APPROACH

For projects large or small, from initial planning to the final installation, our team firmly believes 'design' is even more than an aesthetics, but also a lifestyle. The creative process begins for us by listening to clients then contemplating how design can make their lives more beautiful. Our mission is to create thoughtful, beautiful interiors that meet our clients’ aesthetic, functional, and economic goals.

WHERE WE WORK

We are based in Dallas, Texas, but our projects have taken us to destinations across Texas and the U.S - current work includes vacation homes at Cedar Creek Lake, ground up residential, and large scale boutique hospitality projects. Past and current projects also located across Alabama, the Hamptons and Washington D.C.

SARAH LINDSEY

FOUNDER & LEAD DESIGNER

I have loved interior design and the decorating of spaces for as long as I can remember. I vividly remember the sense endless possibility I had as a little girl when my dad took me to select hardware to redecorate my room and the excitement I felt feeling different sofa fabric options when shopping with my mother. Now, as an adult, I carry that same sense of joy when imagining or reimagining spaces and places on behalf of our clients. I am often asked, “What is your look?” or “What is your style?” Honestly, I believe that my job is not to have one “look” or “style.” Instead, I like to say my look is the “best version” of the client. It is important to me that a design is truly reflective of my client’s personal style and what is important to them. I love the excitement and gratitude in our clients’ faces when a job is done well. I understand that these spaces are much more than simple aesthetics—they are the canvas in making a life story for our clients and I find it incredibly rewarding to helping make their dreams a reality.

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, I started my career in Birmingham, Alabama, managing interior design programs for Southern Accents magazine. After two years with Southern Accents, I was hired to join the team at Southern Living magazine, to oversee and manage the Interior Design programs within the magazine. My career with Southern Accents and Southern Living allowed me the opportunity to work with some of the finest developers, architects and designers across the South. This experience was extremely valuable to understand the business of creating something from nothing and how all members of the team work together to accomplish the highest quality work.

In 2012, I started my own design firm, Sarah Lindsey Design. We are a full-service interior design firm specializing in residential and commercial spaces as well as hospitality projects and collaborations. I currently reside in Dallas, Texas, with my husband, our three young children, and our dog Abby.

ALYCIA KEARNY

DESIGN INTERN

Alycia Kearny is a freshman interior design major at Texas Christian University. Born and raised in Walnut Creek, California, Alycia was always interested and fascinated with any and everything design. Unlike your normal child who plays with toys, she found herself rearranging her room and making DIY’s for fun.

The role of design gives Alycia a purpose and a creative outlet where she can follow her dreams. Alycia knew she wanted to work in design and she found a school to hone her craft and an internship to apply the skills that she’s developing. This already includes 2D and 3D design, graphic design, drawing, creative practices, and color and light theory. Every semester, with new classes, she pushes herself to learn the most current design techniques.

During the internship, Alycia plans to make an impact by applying her interest in design with the skills that she’s developing on a daily basis. She brings a wicked focus managing all of the details that go into great design. I guess you could call Alycia a creative that likes to get stuff done.
